Tanmi Production of Seychelles wins tender for production of the 2014 edition of the Seychelles Carnival International de Victoria ( The Seychelles Tourism Board has officially handed over production of the 2014 edition of Carnaval International de Victoria to Tanmi Production. The production house is described as being well versed with the three-day carnival. For this edition, Tanmi Production will be the key player in organizing this event. The Seychelles Tourism Board officially tendered out the production of Seychelles Carnival International de Victoria. Tanmi Production won the bid partly and primarily due its expertise. The production house running this year`s Carnaval International de Victoria was made known to key stakeholders overseeing the smooth running of the three-day of event, such as the Police, Land Transport Authority; Environment Agency; and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a meeting organized by the Seychelles Tourism Board and Tanmi Production.

Joseph Sinon, Manager of Tanmi Production, said the production house is comprised of eight members. He said Tanmi Production has taken into consideration the backdrop of past events and will make necessary adjustments. The production house gave a brief insight into the three-day event planned for April 25-27. For day one, the official opening of Carnaval International de Victoria, the venue, and the artistic component of the show is still being defined. On the second day, April 26, the carnival parade will take a similar route as in 2013. The carnival floats and revelers will align along Bois de Rose Avenue and wind down to Victoria through Francis Rachel Street, Palm Street, and Fifth June Avenue. Revelers will assemble in Freedom Square, and carnival vehicles will park at the Island Development Company Car Park. Galen Bresson, who is responsible for the carnival float parade, said his team is still fine-tuning the logistics of the parade.

Day three is dedicated to family fun and will incorporate the new element of a children`s carnival, outsourced by the Seychelles Tourism Board to Lima Calbio, the Trinidad and Tobago soca dancer and head of the Caribbean Island`s carnival delegation. Tanmi Production plans to put more entertainment into the three-day event to liven up Victoria. Beryl Matatiken, Manager of Event and Conferencing at the Seychelles Tourism Board, said that Carnaval International de Victoria is a national event, and the support of all partners concerned is vital for its continued success.
