Mozambique confirms its participation at the Carnaval International de Victoria in the Seychelles with Tourism Minister Carvalho Muaria set to personally lead their delegation

Mozambique confirms its participation at the Carnaval International de Victoria in the Seychelles with Tourism Minister Carvalho Muaria set to personally lead their delegation (Forimmediaterelease.net) It is now confirmed that Minister Carvalho Muaria, the Tourism Minister of Mozambique, has personally written to Minister Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles to confirm that Mozambique will be participating in the 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria and that the Minister will be personally leading the Mozambican delegation.

This will be the first time that Mozambique, a country that has been putting great effort in the development of its tourism industry, will be participating in the Carnaval International de Victoria in the Seychelles. Mozambique, it is said, wants to use the unique “Carnival of Carnivals” that is staged annually in the Seychelles to fly its flag and showcase to the world its people and culture.

Mozambique has a rich culture and their government is proud of the Mozambican people. They are using their presence at this Indian Ocean event to present Mozambique to the large group of foreign journalists who descend on Seychelles annually for this carnival. The Minister from Mozambique attends at huge cost many international tourism trade fairs around the world, but he has decided to treat the Seychelles event as a tourism fair with a difference, as the people of Mozambique and their culture will this time be placed in the forefront.

The press conference that precedes the carnival opens many doors for visiting delegations to get their respective countries more seen and more known in the world of tourism. Delegations at the Carnaval International de Victoria meet and interact with more press that they can do at any tourism trade fair.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister, has welcomed the confirmation received from Mozambique. “The best carnivals of the world have all confirmed their presence, and now more and more cultural troupes from the Community of Nations are confirming their participation in what will be a cultural explosion of color and music. No country should be ashamed to showcase their people and their culture in their promotion, because this is what tourists come to see," the Seychelles Minister said.

The 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria will see Seychelles joined by South Africa KwaZulu Natal to co-host the event with the Vanilla Islands of La Reunion, Madagascar, and Mayotte. The carnival is set for April 25-27, 2014.
