Indian veena artist, Srimati Revathi Krishna performs for a charitable cause (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Pillay R. Group of Ramu Pillay group of companies last weekend moved with some other key sponsors to answer the appeal made by the La Digue born and bred Minister Alain St.Ange to raise some funds to help with the flooding on La Digue. The idea came from discussions at a function to mark the 65th India Republic Day at the Asia Fusion Restaurant at Au Cap where the Indian veena artist, Mrs. Srimati Revathi Krishna, was performing.

Minister Vincent Meriton was discussing the government`s Action Plan for La Digue to help solve the recurring difficulties caused by flooding after heavy rains. A request was made to Mr. Ramu Pillay of the Pillay R. Group who had organized for the Indian veena artist, Mrs. Srimati Revathi Krishna, and her group, to fly to Seychelles for the 65th India Republic Day Celebrations to impress on the Indian start to perform in Victoria`s International Conference Centre.

Mr. Ramu Pillay joined with Mr. Ramani of Chartered Accountants; Mr. Pravin of Allied Builders; Mr. Nandhu of Shajanand Builders; Mr. Keshra of Shreeji Construction; Mr. Tony Payet of Exel Motors; Global Suppliers; and Mr. Rajesh Mathoor of Mathur Associates to organize the Charity Concert in aid of La Digue.

Minister Meriton and Minister St.Ange joined the Indian High Commissioner, Mr. Thanglura Darlong, and many citizens and culture&music lovers who came out to be at the International Conference Centre in Victoria to hear the Indian veena artist, Mrs. Srimati Revathi Krishna, and her group perform and at the same time help a just cause.
