Seychelles singing bird Michelle Marengo in duo with Joe Samy at Festival “Liberte Metisse” ( La Reunion Island will finally get the best of Michelle Marengo. Nearly four months after her first performance in La Reunion for the Ministerial Meeting of the Vanilla Islands organization which was running in parallel with UNWTO Sustainable development Conference, Michelle Marengo is making her comeback for the Festival “Liberte Metisse.”

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, has officially announced that she is now the leading singer of the National Cultural Troupe and that the next trip for Michelle Marengo to La Reunion will see her and Joe Samy perform together on stage in a duet. Joe Samy and Michelle Marengo meticulously selected “Cafe au lait girls,” which featured in the best-selling album of Joe Samy to sing in La Reunion. Both singers are up to a new challenge with this song as neither Michelle Marengo nor Joe Samy had ever staged a performance as a duo.

Michelle Marengo said that she “appreciates this song,” which is suited for the festival. With the back-up musicians of Seychelles National Troupe, the Seychelles “singing bird” is out to attract her La Reunion fans with the interpretation of “ptte fleur fanee,” a much-appreciated song in La Reunion Island. She will perform some of her songs such as “nostalzi” and “Zanviron de milye.”

The duet Michelle Marengo and Joe Samy is a must-see performance!
