La Reunion Island announces that their music artists Sully and the Chamanes will be in Seychelles for Festival Kreol 2013

La Reunion Island announces that their music artists Sully and the Chamanes will be in Seychelles for Festival Kreol 2013 (Forimmediaterelease.net) Festival Kreol 2013 will have a high dose of La Reunion’s sega and “Maloya” fusion with jazz that will be echoed by the brass band from La Reunion. The group “Sully and the Chamanes” are flying to Seychelles for this year’s Festival Kreol, and they will perform alongside Creole musicians from Seychelles, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Martinique, and Haiti.

“Sully and the Chamanes,” who perform a mixture of traditional percussions and songs of “Maloya,” will be performing in Victoria, the smallest capital in the world, and they are hoping to help bring the expected party atmosphere to Festival Kreol 2013. As a musical group they remain strongly influenced by European, Indian Ocean, and African music as they perform the traditional rhythms of Sega and “Maloya.” Through the sound of a brass band, the “Sully and the Chamanes” brings to life the old tunes of La Reunion Island from the 30s and 40s, transforming them into modern tunes. “Sully and the Chamanes” create through their musical show the perfect vibes of traditional and modern music.

“Sully and the Chamanes” will be a must-see group when they perform at the 2013 Festival Kreol, because they have opened up a new horizon for Sega and Maloya in the region. The group’s leading artist, Arnaud Sully Chamand, comes from a family of musicians. After ten years of experience in different local bands like “ziskakan,” “Baster,” and Free Jam,” he is impossible to miss in La Reunion Island.

He decided to promote traditional music from La Reunion Island through the Creole Jazz band comprised of artists from a musical and cultural diversity. In 2010, “Sully and the Chamanes” was created.

The “Creole Jazz band” is comprised of a bass instrument team, a rhythmic acoustic sound, a guitar, and a benjoline. “Sully and the Chamanes” has given new meaning to the air of traditional tunes. The group will be in Seychelles on October 23 to perform in the 2013 Festival Kreol.
