“Miss Seychelles... Another World” describes her experience so far in Indonesia as being magical

“Miss Seychelles... Another World” describes her experience so far in Indonesia as being magical ( “It has been a truly magical experience!" These are the words of Agnes Gerry upon being greeted in Indonesia by Seychelles Tourism Board Chief Executive, Sherin Naiken, together with her mother, Joyce Gerry, and her chaperone, Audrey Roberts.

“Miss Seychelles… Another World” Agnes Gerry is in full swing preparation for the Miss World beauty pageant scheduled to take place this Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the Westin Resort hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. The last week of Ms. Gerry in the contest has been very much preoccupied with sessions of rehearsal for the Miss World final. This year, all the girls will be afforded more time on the catwalk of which they would appear on the stage at least six times, which is considerably more visibility than any previous Miss World pageant. Therefore, people watching the show will hopefully see more of the beauty queen coming all the way from Seychelles… another world.

One of the last big events before the final was the Miss Top Model 2013, a grand fashion show featuring Miss World contestants, which took place at the Westin Resort hotel, Nusa Dua in Bali, on the evening of September 24, 2013. The ten finalists of the Top Model contest are from the following countries – United States, Italy, France, Brazil, South Sudan, Cyprus, Cameroon, Philippines, England, and Ukraine.

Agnes Gerry cat walked a gold gown designed by one of the 50 Indonesian designers who put up the selection exclusively for this event.

Through a special gathering on the evening of September 25, Agnes Gerry introduced the Seychelles delegation with her many networks and friends she gathered throughout the Miss World contest in Indonesia while giving an account of how her experience had been so far.

“I have made lots of friends, I am much more confident on the catwalk and feel much more at ease in bigger crowds," she explained.

From her side, Ms. Naiken, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, the organizers of the “Miss Seychelles… Another World” beauty contest explained, “Having seen all the parents and sponsors who have come in numbers to support their beauty queen, it would have been remiss for us not to come in numbers as well to give our ‘Miss Seychelles… Another World’ all the support she needs."

“She has been indeed a great ambassador, carrying the flag for Seychelles," Ms. Naiken continued, “A lovely girl, great personality, and so easy to work with, as one of the Miss World chaperones put it across to me!"
