Seychelles digital marketing campaign underway

Seychelles digital marketing campaign underway (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Seychelles Tourism Board is increasing its online presence in its efforts to better market Seychelles as a holiday destination. To lay the groundwork for the implementation of its Digital Marketing Plan, the Seychelles tourism authority sent two of its representatives to attend the Digital Tourism Campus held in Dubai recently - the only event in the tourism industry focused entirely on showcasing digital marketing for Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs).

The digital campus also offers a great opportunity for those in the field of travel and tourism industry to share knowledge and innovative best practices. The one-day event was also the time for digital marketing experts and tourism organizations from around the world to present their innovative strategies and best practice case studies in keynote speeches and panel debates.

As the Seychelles Tourism Board is working on a digital marketing plan which aims to increase the organization’s online presence and better promote the Seychelles through online advertising, social media campaigns, mobile applications, online targeting, and new websites, this campus was the perfect chance for the Seychelles Tourism Board delegation to acquire more knowledge as to how to better implement it.

Seychelles Tourism Board E-marketing Manager, Vahid Jacob, and Assistant E-marketing Executive, Anifa Volcy, represented the organization, also having the chance to network with 120 participants from over 11 countries.

Having taken part in the tourism digital campus, the two representatives are now armed with the required knowledge which would be needed to revamp the current Seychelles Tourism Board destination website – Seychelles.travel – as well as introduce a corporate website. The Seychelles Tourism Board also hopes to generate a host of mobile applications, e-brochures, and interactive maps as part of its digital marketing plan which will come to force in the ensuing months.
