Fraport introduces “Personal Shoppers” to help Russian-speaking passengers

Fraport introduces “Personal Shoppers” to help Russian-speaking passengers ( Fraport has broadened its services at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) with the recent introduction of “Personal Shoppers” to assist Russian-speaking passengers. Already, two personal shoppers provide Russian-speaking passengers with advice and assistance on shopping, obtaining VAT refunds (value-added tax), general airport information, and they even sometimes escort passengers from the control points to the departure gates. Available between 1000 and 1900 daily, these Personal Shoppers speak fluent Russian and are familiar with the culture and preferences of Russian passengers. Experience shows that Russian passengers are particularly interested in perfumes, French red wine, and various international brand-name products at FRA. They eagerly accept advice from the personal shoppers.

Passengers do not have to sign up for the free service but can reserve their Russian Personal Shopper in advance. Russian-speaking passengers who would like to try out this pleasant, competent service while shopping at Frankfurt Airport or who have questions about the service can send an e-mail to href="">; or telephone +49.174.1550609. The Russian Personal Shopper follows the very successful and popular Chinese Personal Shoppers introduced at FRA in September 2012 (e-mail: href="">; telephone: +49.174.550606). For Russian-speaking passengers, Fraport also offers various brochures in their native language to facilitate a layover at Frankfurt Airport. The Airport Guide, the Transfer Guide, and the Shopping&Dining Map for both terminals can be downloaded free of charge in Russian from the FRA Web site.

The Russian Personal Shopper is a new element of Fraport’s “Great to Have You Here!” quality service program launched at Frankfurt Airport to introduce new innovations and enhance service for making it even easier and more pleasant for passengers to depart, arrive and transfer via Germany’s largest aviation hub. Frankfurt Airport served more than 57 passengers in 2012.
