Dance Biennale 2013 another success for Seychelles (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Seychelles National Conservatoire of Performing Arts surprised everyone with a spectacular performance as they staged their Dance Biennale 2013 at the International Conference Center in Victoria. It was Mr. Pierre Joseph, the Director of the National Conservatoire of Performing Arts, who personally welcomed everyone to the Biennale 2013 on Sunday, September 1, and thanked the Ministry of Education, Parents, Teachers and Students for working together with the Conservatoire of Performing Arts and with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to continue to push such a cultural event forward.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, on his part said, as he officially launched the 2013 Dance Biennale that he was honored to be present to witness the performance of a dedicated group of young Seychellois. “Your tenacity, your devotion, and your continued desire to come forward to develop your talent in the art of dancing is commendable. Today I will repeat the commitment made by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to stand by all of you to support your programs and performances. I also tonight take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Pierre Joseph and his team at the National Conservatoire of Performing Arts for his department's continued effort for the cause of culture through song, dance and drama," Minister St.Ange said.

In the presence of the PS for Culture Ms. Benjamine Rose, the DG for Culture Mr. Marcel Rosalie; and the Director of the National Conservatoire of Performing Arts Mr. Pierre Joseph, the Minister went on to thank everyone who came to support the young talents from the Seychelles by being present.

Minister Alain St.Ange also thanked Refiloe Magoje, the Preforming Artist from South Africa, and Didier Boutiana, the Hip Hop Break Dance specialist from La Reunion, for having joined with Ruth Louise, the Dance Instructor of the National Conservatoire of Performing Arts, for having accepted to work together with young Seychellois students to bring eleven well-choreographed pieces for the 2013 Biennale. “You have worked long hours, and tonight you are here to participate with our young students to help them to showcase what you have thought them through your dance routines. For this we say a big thank you," Minister St.Ange said.
