Reunion Island back on the Mega Mascarun 2013 ( The first edition of Mega Mascarun took place last June on Reunion Island. Reunion Island is a tropical French territory in the southern Indian Ocean.

The IRT hosted nearly 180 tourism professionals from Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland.

One month after the event, a video about all of this adventure was sent to all participants and a panel of European travel agents.

One month after spending a week in Reunion Island at the Mega Mascarun 2013, participants of this challenge were able to remember their good times when viewing images of their adventures on the island.

Photos showed participants trying stand up paddle, kayaking, rafting, recumbent bike, paragliding, tourist rally, tropical cocktails, bicycle tours, four-wheel drive tours, panoramic helicopter, excursions, snorkeling, canoeing, treasure hunt, discovering volcanoes and more. Also the taste of coffee and vanilla will be missed. Participants loved the taste of island coffee and vanilla.

Travel agents competed in multiple sports challenges that also allowed them to enjoy the variety of landscapes and activities, making Reunion Island a unique place in the world.

The goal for the Reunion Island Tourism is primarily to provide a return in pictures to participants, but also to capitalize on this industrial action that has seen nearly 180 travel agents and tour operators alike, become destination experts for Reunion Island in June 2013.

The video was sent to all participants and to a complete database of travel agents in Belgium, France and Switzerland. Katiana Castelnau, the host of Mega Mascarun left a final farewell message to all participants.
