“Big 5” musical tour by Seychelles artists

“Big 5” musical tour by Seychelles artists (Forimmediaterelease.net) Five of the Seychelles most known and respected artists, Patrick Victor, Jean-Marc Volcy, Joseph Sinon, Sandra Esparon, and Stephen Elijah, called on Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, to present to the government their proposed “Big 5” International Musical Tour of the region. The artists were accompanied by Patel Esparon, Miera Savy, Jimmy Savy, Derek Savy, Najoie Philoe, Ted Barbe, and Lena Laurence who are all working with the “Big 5” group to make the overseas tour a possibility.

“This has been a dream for me," said Joseph Sinon, as the “Big 5” group tabled their concept of tourism La Reunion, Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoros, and Mayotte on a first tour of its kind to showcase Seychelles music at its best.

The five artists congratulated the Ministry of Tourism and Culture for the work being undertaken to enhance the development of culture in the country, and Jean-Marc Volcy went as far as to say that artists are today encouraged by what is seen as a “cultural revolution” in Seychelles.

The “Big 5” musical show, which will be launched in Seychelles soon, has been given the thumbs up by Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister who has culture as one of his portfolios. “The Ministry of Tourism and Culture is appreciative of your support of its work. We will give you all the support to make this Seychelles music tour through the Vanilla Islands a success. We shall appeal to our contacts and partners across the region to join with us to the ‘Big 5' Musical Tour the success it deserves to be," said Minister St.Ange.

The meeting with the artists, Patrick Victor, Jean-Marc Volcy, Joseph Sinon, Sandra Esparon, and Stephen Elijah, and their entourage were also given the opportunity for Minister Alain St.Ange to update them on plans of the Ministry to put more focus on culture in Seychelles.
