Bioethic, an internationally-based Italian company has won the tender bid to supply equipment for Seychelles Tourism Academy’s state-of-the-art building, currently under construction. The contract bid was signed on July 3 by Elsia Grandcourt, outgoing Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Alain Savy, Bioethic representative in Seychelles.
Elsia Grandcourt signed the agreement on behalf of the newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer, Sherin Naiken. Last year, the Seychelles Tourism Board invited bids to supply and install equipment at the Seychelles Tourism Academy’s new building. Invitation to tender was opened for both local and international companies. The Seychelles Tourism Board and its Seychelles Tourism Academy said that Bioethic won the tender bid because “it was felt by the consultants overseeing the project of the Seychelles Tourism Academy that Bioethic met the criteria for the tender.”
“We are confident that Bioethic will deliver the consignment as stipulated by the contract,” said a representative of the Seychelles Tourism Board and of its Tourism Academy.
Alain Savy, the Bioethic Representative in Seychelles, has given the assurances that “the company will provide the equipment in a timely manner.”
Bioethic will supply Seychelles Tourism Academy’s new building with all the equipment for the school ranging from air condition units, cutleries, fridges, and overhead projectors, etc. The Italian company had in the past supplied equipment to local companies and schools such as kitchen equipment to Baie St. Anne School of Praslin, specialized equipment to Seychelles Bureau of Standard and for the Seychelles Fishing Authority. The tender to supply furniture for the school has been awarded to Allied Builders Seychelles Limited. The Seychelles Tourism Academy announced that construction work on the building is progressing well and that now 65% of percent of the construction has already been completed. The first phase of the Academy is expected to be completed as per schedule at the end of September 2013.
