Seychelles singer Ralf Amesbury releases new music CD at packed concert ( Ralph Amesbury who took the Seychelles by storm many years ago with his hit song “anmenn mwan dan lakour” has just released his latest 12-track album entitled “Water" at a packed National Theatre, Mont Fleuri, in June. Ralph Amesbury, one of the many Seychellois artists showcasing his vocal and song writing talents in acoustic music albums, again impressed his fans at the launch of his album with a performance of varied vocal harmonies and subtle acoustic accompaniment.

Backed by his band, “The Suns," the singer, whose stage name is simply Ralf, kicked off the show with his greatest hit, “Zoli Zour," a song featured on his last album which was released in 2000.

The album has three English songs, including the title track “Water" and the remaining nine in Creole. Other songs, clearly appreciated by the audience, were “Mardi apremidi" and “Mon lanz."

In the the audience at this launch were Culture Principal Secretary Benjamine Rose and the National Arts Council ( NAC) CEO Jimmy Savy; both were presented with a copy of the new music CD.

The launch of Ralf Amesbury’s latest album coincided with this year's “Fete de la Musique." The album is sponsored by the Seychelles Breweries, the Seychelles Trading Company Duty Free shop, and the NAC.

Ralf Amesbury is passionately working to remain in the ranks of the successful Seychelles artists, and he could not have been any happier with the turnout at his album launch.
