(Forimmediaterelease.net) Sri Lanka Tourism reported today that the tourism industry is all geared up and ready to receive a posse of 7000 English cricket fans for the England, Sri Lanka Test Series due to begin on December first in the hill capital of Kandy. Also in the offing are initiatives to offset carbon emissions to make the tour as carbon neutral as possible. Working together with the Rotary Movement of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Tourism is planning tree planting and other greening campaigns during the event. Senior Representatives of the England Cricket Team together with other Sri Lankan Counterparts are expected to participate in the launch of these initiatives. Sri Lanka Tourism also has iterated that today’s foiled suicide bomber attempt on a leading Tamil politician’s life has little or no impact on the life in the city.
