Reunion Island woman chairs France Book Fair

Reunion Island woman chairs France Book Fair ( For the second consecutive year, a woman will chair the Salon du livre de Villeneuve Book Fair in France from May 24-26, 2013. And this year, the chair’s role will be held by a Reunion Island citizen and a member of the Superior Audiovisual Council, Memona Hintermann.

A Creole journalist, she began her career on the island of Reunion in the 70s and later joined the Metropolitan France, where her career is just beginning. A reporter for France 3, she has covered many international events and is a member of the CSA. Memona Hintermann’s commitment in her reporting is better public service.

Her latest book, “A life can hide another," editions Lattes, draws portraits crossed with an analysis of a society in crisis, and shows how to overcome daily challenges, resist, and recover.

The Book Fair is an opportunity to honor novels, biographies or autobiographies, thrillers, and poetry, as well as comics and children's books. Nearly 90 local, regional, and national authors, along with publishers and booksellers, will be at the event.
