Kenya’s Massai Group arrives in Seychelles for Africa Day 2013 celebrations, FetAfrik (Forimmediaterelease.net) A Maasai performance group from the known Bomas of Kenya has arrived in Seychelles for the island’s 2013 Africa Day celebrations, FetAfrik. The Maasai group will be key performers at this year’s FetAfrik, and they will be helping to bring a touch of mainland African culture to Seychelles for the celebrations.

Seychelles celebrates Africa Day annually, and this year the islands’ Ministry of Tourism and Culture have gone a step further to integrate mainland African culture into the islands celebrations. Kenya is represented by the Maasai dancers and South Africa by a chef, a designer, and an artist.

Three Seychelles Ministers met with the Maasai group to welcome them to the Seychelles as they were getting ready for their first performance in the islands.
Minister Vincent Meriton, Minister Peter Sinon, and Minister Alain St.Ange were the three Seychelles ministers at the Official Ceremony of Africa Day 2013, and they made it their duty to meet the Maasai group to say welcome to Seychelles to them.
