Air Seychelles to host Manchester City Seychelles Soccer School 2013 ( Air Seychelles will this week welcome Patrick Vieira, legendary player and Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) Football Development Executive, to the Seychelles.

Patrick, accompanied by a team of City coaches, will arrive on May 3 for the Manchester City Seychelles Soccer School 2013, hosted by Air Seychelles and Etihad Airways.

We are excited to see a football superstar and professional coaches take a personal interest in that development.

“Continuing our longstanding tradition of facilitating grassroots events in the Seychelles, we are proud to host the Manchester City Seychelles Soccer School 2013 along with our partner Etihad Airways.

“We also thank the Seychelles Football Federation for their valuable support in uniting our community for this event.”

Elvis Chetty, Seychelles Football Federation Chairman said: “We are delighted to welcome Manchester City Football Club and Patrick Vieira to Seychelles. The work they will do with our youngsters will be invaluable.

“On behalf of SFF, I must thank Air Seychelles for supporting the development of football in our country. This is a unique opportunity for our youngsters to rub shoulder and be inspired by some of the very best in the business of football.”

In a remarkable playing career spanning 18 years, Patrick Vieira won numerous domestic championships in both England and Italy, as well as the World Cup with France in 1998 and the European Championship two years later. He retired from the game in July 2011 to take on a wide ranging role with MCFC which includes work with the Academy, scouting and community departments.
