Please visit the Joburg Tourism stand at the Rand Show this Easter

Please visit the Joburg Tourism stand at the Rand Show this Easter (Forimmediaterelease.net) If you’re planning on visiting the Rand Show this year, please do pop in at the Joburg Tourism stand (8A05) in Hall 8. The Joburg Tourism team will be on hand to share news about the city’s calendar of events, sites and attractions across a broad spectrum of interests and activities – from the new bright red City Sightseeing buses to various other interesting cultural and heritage sites.

With a rich history spanning over 100 years, the Rand Show is South Africa’s largest consumer exhibition and is iconic fixture on the annual Joburg events calendar. The show will now run for 5 days rather than 10, providing a high-impact, quality event that promises a high level of excitement for the whole family over the popular holiday season.

“There’s always so much happening in Joburg and we encourage locals and visitors to enjoy exploring further afield, trying out new facilities, for example, the Gautrain, Rea Vaya, and red tourist buses,” says Phelisa Mangcu, Acting CEO, Joburg Tourism. “This all forms part of our initiative to increase tourism awareness amongst locals and to encourage civic pride, ambassadorship, and advocacy on an ongoing basis.”

On Friday afternoon (March 29) Joburg Tourism will be hosting KayaFM’s Mo-G show as part of their current “Jozi, Discover Your Own Backyard” campaign where locals are invited to share their favorite, authentic Joburg experiences via the Joburg Tourism Facebook page: www.facebook.com/JohannesburgTourism

They can also test their knowledge of Joburg by entering the quiz on Joburg Tourism website’s Facebook page. The Mo-Gee Show on Friday afternoons forms a pivotal part of the campaign, as it will be broadcast from various iconic locations (“hidden gems”) throughout the city, starting on March 15, every Friday afternoon for 6 weeks.

Entrants for the competition (including both quiz entrants, as well as those who have submitted their favorite Joburg experiences) are encouraged to tune into the Mo-G Show every Friday afternoon (from 1500–1800 hours), to find out if they are winners.
