Polish Ambassador to Seychelles impressed with Seychelles vision to diversify its tourism industry (Forimmediaterelease.net) The newly-accredited Polish Ambassador to Seychelles, Mr. Marek Ziolkowski, said that the Seychelles, set drive to diversity its tourism industry, is a “very ambitious and is a good initiative.” Mr. Marek Ziolkowski shared his comments after his courtesy call on Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture.

The meeting between the new Polish Ambassador and the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture took place at the Offices of the Ministry of Tourism&Culture at the National Cultural Center in Victoria.

The Polish Ambassador to Seychelles, the second to be accredited in the country said, “Whilst tourism continues to remain a versatile sector of the economy, the need to diversify is becoming even more pressing.”

On his part, Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, said: “Europe with France, Germany, Russia, and others continue to remain key core tourism markets for Seychelles. Whilst our secondary markets are showing positive signs of growth, it is becoming more and more apparent to Seychelles that for us to keep being relevant as a tourism destination, we need to be innovative at all times.”

“Seychelles needs to continue to go out to get its fair share of interesting niche markets for our country. The continued success of our tourism industry lies in hunting for niche markets suitable with our country’s USPs, our unique selling points. This will ensure we consolidate our tourism industry and in so doing our economy,” Minister St.Ange said.

The Polish Ambassador to Seychelles, Mr. Marek Ziolkowski, also spoke on the Seychelles sustainability label, the success of Seychelles as an event based destination, and the Seychelles’ bid to be a member of the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Ambassador Marek Ziolkowski said to Minister St.Ange that “there’s a continued positive trend in the number of Polish visitors coming to Seychelles, and that this is set to grow with more flights coming to Seychelles from Europe.”
