Seychelles magnificent sunset is the cover picture of tourism Tattler’s magazine ( Seychelles islands as a truly idyllic destination is given prominence in the latest issue of the respected “Tourism Tattler Trade Journal,” the publication that remains the official trade journal of African tourism. The tourism “Tourism Tattler Trade Journal” is an essential source for information for the world on travel-tourism and hospitality trade in Africa.

The magazine’s March 2013 edition explores a number of issues inspiring readers to travel to Seychelles. Articles in this latest “Tourism Tattler Trade Journal” takes a look at Seychelles’ sustainable tourism label, the affordable Seychelles, and the Carnaval International de Victoria.

South African journalist, Des Langkilde draws the perfect picture of Seychelles as a green destination with its recently-launched sustainable tourism certification system. Through the eyes of Des Langkilde, who was personally present in Seychelles for the 2013 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria which was held between February 8-10, 2013, this event has “once again lived up to its reputation of being the ‘carnival de carnivals.’” Quoting the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange’ statement that “No government should be ashamed to showcase their people and culture,” the Seychelles Minister used the carnival to set the record straight that Seychelles, itself a must-see destination, carries with pride the notion that “there can be no consolidation of tourism without culture.”

While there’s much talk about Seychelles’ affordable tagline and to what extent this statement is correct, Des Langkilde has put himself to the test experiencing first hand this Seychelles marketing slogan. Des Langkilde writes, “having spent seven days touring the islands of Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue, I have to agree with Minister St.Ange, as do many of the international media that I met during my trip.” In this respect, Des Langkilde was referring to the statement made by Minister St.Ange when he said: “We do not want to be seen as an exclusive destination for the rich and famous only. We have a broad range of accommodations ready to suit every budget.” This statement Minister Alain St.Ange made as he answered questions from the large number of press coming from all over the world at the Carnaval International de Victoria press briefing.

Pushing the boundary, Des Langkilder said that affordable Seychelles means “different things to different people” - much of what makes Seychelles unique and special is virtually free for all. Tourism Tattler’s cover is a picture of the Seychelles’ magnificent sunset viewed from Anse Kerlan beach, located on one of the Seychelles inner islands of Praslin. This picture has sparked readers’ interest backed by the feature destination of this latest edition of the magazine. The Seychelles sunset has been admired by globe trotters seeking the truly spectacular vantage point, the one with the most vibrant colors.
