Travel Channel International becomes PATA Preferred Partner

Travel Channel International becomes PATA Preferred Partner ( BANGKOK, Thailand - The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is pleased to announce Travel Channel International as a new PATA Preferred Partner. Owned by Scripps Networks Interactive, the Travel Channel is the world's leading international travel broadcaster, transmitting 24 hours a day in 21 languages to 130 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. It is based in London.

The partnership will enable PATA and Travel Channel International to collaborate on brand-building opportunities at major events such as the PATA Annual Conference, PATA Travel Mart, and PATA Hub City Forums. The partnership allows both parties to share data including research, statistics, and analysis and to develop joint consumer and industry surveys and reports.

PATA CEO Mr. Martin J. Craigs, said: “Our mutually beneficial partnership with Travel Channel International will give our members special access to exciting programs and great insights during PATA events. Travel Channel presenters are well versed in addressing the latest trends affecting the travel industry such as luxury getaways, backpacking adventures, culinary holidays, green trips, and more.”

The channel's core programming includes World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides, Inside Luxury Travel, Globe Trekker, Essential and Travel Today.

Mr. Andrew Grieve, International Director of Advertising Sales and Marketing, Travel Channel, commented: “Asia Pacific is a fast-growing region for the Travel Channel. We are all hugely excited about becoming part of the groundbreaking PATA community.”

Together with PATA, Mr. Andrew Grieve and Ms. Negar Ghodstinat, International Advertising Sales, Travel Channel, will meet PATA members and friends during ATF2013 ( ), January 22-24 at booth A22.

PATA will also organize an informal travel industry networking event in Vientiane at 1800 hours on Monday, January 21, at the Khop Chai Deu restaurant.
