Carnival in Seychelles will see an airwaves campaign rally behind the event as from Monday ( The streets of Victoria are seeing banners, flags, and carnival colors go up to start the launch of the ambiance drive for their islands’ carnival set to be launched on the February 8 in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles. The large banner erected on the National Cultural Centre in Victoria gives a taste of the colorful carnival expected to be staged in Seychelles from February 8-10 next month.

The Seychelles radio station (SBC) has launched their own campaign to officially open the Carnival promotion, and this is set start on Monday, January 14, 2013 when the islands’ Minister St.Ange, the Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, will open the campaign together with the CEO of Seychelles Tourism Board, Elsia Grandcourt.

It has been confirmed that the Minister for Tourism and Culture and the CEO of the Tourism Board will jointly take to the airwaves in a slot at 1715 hours on Monday afternoon from the SBC's Union Vale Radio Station.

This will be the first live on-radio program for the 2013 carnival, and this will be supported by a TV interview given by Minister Alain St.Ange earlier today. Radio advert teasers are also now being heard on Radio Seychelles, and it is believed that the SBC TV will be airing Carnival Sports as from Monday as well.
