( Bombardier sees more large regional aircraft sales

Bombardier Aerospace has upgraded its forecast over the next 20 years (2007 to 2026) for the 20 to 149-seat commercial aircraft segment, although the bigger regional aircraft categories are expected to sell better than previously expected.

Bombardier has slashed its 20-year forecast for the 20-59-seat segment by 9% from last year’s outlook, but increased its 60-99 forecast by almost 5% and the 100-149-seat prediction by 2%. Overall, the Canadian manufacturer sees total market sales over the next 20 years of approximately 11,200 new aircraft valued at USD393 billion, up from last year’s 20-year forecast of 11,000 aircraft valued at USD370 billion.
