Seychelles remains a destination for cruise ships

Seychelles remains a destination for cruise ships ( “Seychelles was conceived for sailors in mind” is the old saying from these mid-ocean islands. Today, it is the Seychelles Tourism Board working side by side with the Seychelles Ports Authority that is attracting cruise ships to these spectacular mid-ocean tropical islands.

Seychelles has 115 islands offering diversity as the archipelago covers both granitic and coral islands. They are positioned just 4 degrees south of the equator sparing them from cyclones and other such natural disasters, making cruising a perfect holiday option.

Seychelles is home for two UNESCO World Heritage sites - Aldabra Atoll and the Vallee de Mai Coco de Mer Reserve of Praslin Island - and both are accessible to cruise ship visitors on specially-designed cruises in the Seychelles waters.

Seychelles is working within the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands to make their region a cruise ship region. They are also working with East and South Africa and with the Middle East to make Seychelles an integral stop on cruise ship itineraries in that region, opening itself to cruise ship travel.

Seychelles is today flying its key USPs for the world to see, and high on that list is the island’s safety label, its cleanliness, its visa-free policy, and the friendliness of its population - a diverse group of people seen as a melting pot of cultures.
