Staying connected says Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture to staff

Staying connected says Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture to staff ( The end of year is seeing the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture in a series of sectorial staff meetings of his Ministry before a general staff meeting now set for December 17. “We are doing these staff meetings to stay connected with all those who stand with us to make our Ministry work,” Minister St.Ange said.

Minister Alain St.Ange announced the series of staff meetings at the last senior management meeting of his Ministry. The staff meetings of his Ministry will also include staff of the Seychelles Tourism Board; National Arts Council; the Seychelles Heritage Foundation; the School of Arts, Drama, and Music; and the Seychelles Tourism Academy.

The first meeting in this series has been held this week with staff of the National Arts Council, and this was the opportunity for the Minister to update the Ministry’s Staff on his plan of action and for him to hear the staff.

“We are starting by a series of sectorial meetings touching each and every staff member and their sector management team. This will help us hear from our staff department by department, and sector by sector. In two weeks, we would have gone through the whole Ministry before we rally the whole team at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture at the International Conference Center in Victoria (ICCS) for a general staff meeting. Staying connected with all our staff remains important for us, and it will help us be better prepared for the year ahead,” Minister St.Ange said after the first in the series of staff meetings he is personally chairing.

The President of the Republic, Mr. James Michel, has himself been holding meetings right across the country, and he is also personally visiting districts to stay connected with the nation.

At the December 17 General Staff Meeting of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, some 350 staff members are expected to rally at the International Conference Center.
