Exclusive publication of the World Travel Trend Report with world travel market findings.
In November the report of the 15th Pisa Forum 2007 will be available exclusively on the ITB Berlin website - in March 2008 the ITB Berlin will present the annual findings of the World Travel Monitor®
In November the ITB Berlin will be drawing attention to itself with up-to-the-minute information on current and forward-looking travel trends. In collaboration with IPK International this is the third time that the leading trade show of the global travel industry will exclusively present the latest industry findings of the 15th Pisa Forum. Together with the World Travel Monitor® IPK International conducts the most wide-scale continuous survey examining global travel trends in 54 source countries.
In order to give a differentiated assessment of the latest findings on world market tourism trends in 2007 and of the prospects for 2008 by continent and travel segment, every year IPK International invites around 50 leading tourism researchers from Europe, America, Asia and Africa to attend a confidential Trend Research Meeting. This year the 15th Pisa Forum takes place from 24 to 26 October. This is where the latest research on long-term trends in world tourism until 2020 will be presented and discussed. The ITB Berlin will publicise the main findings of the high-ranking members of this forum in a brief trend telegram on 2 November. This information will be available at www.itb-berlin.com/Press Info/Publications. A 20-page World Travel Trend Report in English will be available for download on the ITB Berlin website from the second week of November.
As in previous years the previously unpublished annual findings of the World Travel Monitor® 2007 will be announced at the ITB Berlin. On Wednesday, 5 March 2008 at the ITB Future Days, tourism trends and special aspects of world tourism demand will be presented by market segment, assessments given of the European markets, and an overview presented of the travel destinations which German people prefer. A 20-page summary in English will be available on the ITB website at the end of March.
