Irish Minister Michael Ring joins Seychelles tourism delegation for tourism industry trade lunch in Dublin

Irish Minister Michael Ring joins Seychelles tourism delegation for tourism industry trade lunch in Dublin ( Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, in Dublin for a working visit, hosted a tourism industry trade lunch last Friday at the Four Seasons Dublin in the heart of the city. The lunch was attended by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and he was joined for the event by Mr. Michael Ring, the Irish Minister of State for Tourism and Sports.

Also present for the lunch was Flavien Joubert, the Principle of the Seychelles Tourism Academy; Lena Hoareau, the Manager of the Seychelles News Bureau based in London; and Maria Morel, the Senior Marketing Executive at the Seychelles Tourism Board’s London Office.

When he addressed the travel trade in the presence of Minister Michael Ring, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism said that he felt at home in Ireland because like Seychelles Ireland was but the small island of Europe as was the Seychelles for Africa and the Indian Ocean.

“We have a lot in common, and we see the need to exchange ideas today more so than we did yesterday. Seychelles is a destination safe for travelers, and the Irish holiday makers will feel the sense of security from when they set foot in Seychelles. We value this safety label we enjoy, because in the troubled world we live in today, security during the holidays when traveling with loved ones remains an important prerequisite,” Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles said.

The Seychelles Minister thanked Minister Michael Ring for making time in his busy schedule to join them for this tourism industry trade lunch. “We appreciate your presence, and we hope that the friendship now established will be further developed and that you will find the time to visit Seychelles for a working visit,” Minister St.Ange said.

Minister Michael Ring on his part thanked the Seychelles Minister and his delegation for making time to stop in Dublin before moving onto World Travel Market (WTM) in London. “I will also be at WTM where I am working for the gathering of the Irish Diaspora in 2013. Appreciate the efforts by Seychelles in the promotion of their tourism, and I wish them well. We hope that more Irish holiday makers make time to discover this great destination of yours,” said Minister Michael Ring.

Minister Alain St.Ange from the Seychelles and Minister Michael Ring of Ireland are expected to again meet at WTM in London next week.
