Seychelles Minister Alain St.Ange receives Certificate of Appreciation from Shannon College of Ireland (Forimmediaterelease.net) On Wednesday, November 30, 2012, Mr. Philip J. Smyth, the Director of Shannon College of Hotel Management, presented to Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, an Address of Appreciation by the Shannon College of Hotel Management, the recognized College of the National University of Ireland.

The certificate was presented to Minister Alain St.Ange in front of the Seychellois delegation visiting Shannon College and also in front of a large group of college lecturers, professors, and students, including many of the Seychellois students currently at the Shannon College of Hotel Management.

Mr. Philip J. Smyth read the Address of Appreciation after inviting Minister St.Ange to join him at the front of the gathered guests.

"The Shannon College of Hotel Management, a recognized college of the National University of Ireland, formally records its gratitude to Mr. Alain St.Ange, Minister for Tourism and Culture of the Republic of the Seychelles, for his valuable support in the education of Seychellois students for the hotel industry in that country…"

In addressing the gathered guests, Mr. Philip J. Smyth spoke about the importance of tourism for the Seychelles and the dynamic approach taken by Minister St.Ange to bring success for Seychelles tourism.

Upon accepting the certificate, Minister Alain St.Ange thanked Mr. Philip Smyth and the management of Shannon College of Hotel Management for the certificate and the Address of Appreciation, which he said was being received with a lot of emotion. “Seychelles has tourism as the pillar of its economy, and we have to keep being innovative and intelligent in how we compete for visibility in the marketplace and in so doing ensure that Seychelles remains top of the list for holiday makers. But we also needed to train our people to become leaders in our tourism industry in the future. This was needed if we wanted to keep the edge we need to differentiate us with so many other destinations that are today seeking to also attract the discerning travelers looking for their idyllic tropical holiday," Minister St.Ange said as he received his certificate.
