Celebrate Seychelles Events Newsletter brings out how much is being done on this mid-ocean island

Celebrate Seychelles Events Newsletter brings out how much is being done on this mid-ocean island ( The latest release of the Celebrate Seychelles newsletter showcases how much is being staged by these mid-ocean islands to ensure they retain their place as an events-based tourism destination with a difference.

Seychelles entered in earnest the world of events after Mr. James Michel, the President of the Island Republic launched a couple of years ago the Carnaval International de Victoria as the unique Carnival of Carnivals. The vision of the Seychelles President was to see a carnival called under the theme of the melting pot of cultures that would bring together the world’s best carnivals and to be seen to be parading together side by side with cultural troupes from the Community of Nations. This the Seychelles has successfully achieved, and the islands’ carnival is now ranked among the best as it stands out as being different and unique with diversity and color.

This week, Seychelles is staging its Festival Kreol, the event that showcases the Creole heritage and culture of these islands. “We remain proud of what we are as a people and we say happily that it is through diversity that we found our strength and uniqueness,” Minister Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture said.

It is Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, who has the mission to keep the world updated with what the Seychelles is doing in this world of events they have embarked on. This is why she ensures that month after month a Celebrate Seychelles Events Newsletter is published and distributed nationally, regionally, and internationally. “We have to tell the world at large what we are doing, because we are proud of all the happenings in our tiny mid-ocean paradise. We are unique because of the exceptional beauty of our islands, but we are full of life, and we remain fun-filled islands as well,” Mrs. Grandcourt said.

Seychelles has the advantage of being a safe destination with a peace-loving people.
