Good value package deals drive more tourism for the loeries and creative month in Cape Town
World Design Capital is a title that recognizes cities that are using design for social, cultural, and economic development. What to do with the long weekend in Cape Town:
• The Loerie Awards will, for the fourth consecutive year, be held in Cape Town, taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from September 15-23, 2012. The event will play a significant role in the World Design Capital 2014 series of events during the year of the title.
• Creative Week Cape Town – September 15-23 – a crowd-sourced festival of creative events that ties together the month of inspirational arts, innovation, and creative expression.
• Open Book Festival - September 20-24 – which gathers 34 international authors over 100 events.
