Seychelles business community commits to the islands’ 2012 Creole Festival

Seychelles business community commits to the islands’ 2012 Creole Festival (Forimmediaterelease.net) Nearly one-and-a-half months to go before the launching of the 27th edition of the Seychelles Creole Festival, and individuals and local companies have begun offering their financial contributions to the organizing committee of the annual Creole Festival.

On Tuesday, September 4, the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange welcomed 6 companies - Land Marine Ltd., Cave a Vin, Chelle Medical, Development Bank of Seychelles, Dobi Laundry Services, and Gills Pest Control - pledging financial support for the 2012 Seychelles Creole Festival.

Accepting the donations in the presence of the Special Advisor to the Minister, Raymonde Onezime, and the Chairperson of the Creole Festival Organizing Committee, Minister Alain St.Ange said that the 2012 edition of the Seychelles Creole Festival will be revamped putting to the fore the true Creole spirit of the festival.

Minister St.Ange has also thanked all the sponsors for the contributions towards the Creole Festival.

“This year’s edition of the Creole Festival would not be possible without the contributions and support of the private sector. For this festival to remain an important yearly event on the calendar of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, it is important that we recognize the private sector's contributions in organizing this festival and build on this partnership. On behalf of the Creole Festival Organizing Committee, I would like to thank all our sponsors whose contributions will surely help the ministry to not only revamp the Creole Festival, but to ensure it positions Victoria clearly as the Creole capital of the world.”

Minister St.Ange has also thanked Ms. Giovanna Rousseau, the National Sport Council Marketing and Promotion Manager, for acting as the resource mobilizer of the Creole Festival Organizing committee. The Creole Festival Organizing Committee said that a second batch of companies has already pledged their contributions for the 2012 Creole Festival and that the presentations of checks would be organized soon.
