Seychelles and La Reunion lead the way in Vanilla Islands cooperation with artists now working in harmony

Seychelles and La Reunion lead the way in Vanilla Islands cooperation with artists now working in harmony ( The undisputable Seychellois singer Sandra Esparon, and La Reunion singer, Damien Amable, are now considered the perfect artistic duo of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands. Together they have become La Reunion island media stars. Their acquaintance two years ago in Seychelles and the release of their first duo “ou sa ou le” in February 2012 has taken the Indian Ocean islands by storm and has become the new media focus at the same time as the islands of the Indian Ocean announced their formalization of their regional organization known as the Vanilla Islands.

Sandra and Damien are two singers of different artistic horizon. Sandra, from the Seychelles, began her career at a young age with the group “Dezil” and whose song “san ou” registered a huge success in 2005. Damien from La Reunion, on his part, kept his mark in the music arena with his hit “amour lointain,” released in 2010 and “nou le cho” in 2012 and appeared in the August edition of La Reunion “7 Magazine.”

Since her first musical breakthrough on the island of La Reunion, Sandra Esparon had been raising the Seychelles flag high. Newspapers and magazines have been publishing her successes continuously, making reference to her country of origin and the unspoiled artistic talents from Seychelles. Seychelles is where Damien Amable had come to find his aspiration for the duo “nou le cho.” Seychelles is also where Damien found the inspiration for the write up of this song, and furthermore, Seychelles is where he discovered the charming voice of Sandra and released their first duo together.

Prior to the marketing of her duo with Damien Amable, “7 Magazine” revealed that Sandra Esparon has been to La Reunion on two separate occasions to market her second acclaimed album, “Fanm inik,” which recorded a tremendous success with the track “en lot lannwit.” Sandra and Damien’s singing success, according to “7 Magazine” is not yet to fade away. Another promising duo, “nou lanmour,” presently found on Sandra Esparon’s solo album, will be released this coming December.
