Worldmeetings now also established in Turkey

( Worldmeetings, a Dutch/German Joint Venture established in 2004, offers a wide range of services for corporate end-users with respect to meetings and events. These services include the regular venue finding and venue booking services as well as a very specialist procurement service ( ranging from rate negotiations to the reconciliation of payments to properties. The provision of management information and optimizing savings are considered to be amongst a procurement client’s major needs. Recently, Worldmeetings has extended its international network of service centres by signing a deal with Agora Tourism for the support of their services in Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

Worldmeetings services are offered online at as well as via various international offices providing personal support. All according to standardized formats and quality regulations being supported by the same data network. Doing so clients can easily outsource their specific needs with respect to their group bookings, both domestically and internationally. Corporate clients worldwide include ABN AMRO Bank, Manpower, UTC, Solvay and Fortis.

The new Turkish partner is one of the three service centre to be established by Worldmeetings so far this year. Other centres that will be operational in 2007 are based in Greece and the United Kingdom. Worldmeetings already has seven established centres serving Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands and Switzerland. Worldmeetings international service centre takes care of requests for the remaining countries.

Agora Tourism is headed by Osman Genc and Tolga Özkarakaş who both have many years’ experience on the Turkish meeting market. From their head office in they manage their group with offices in Antalya and Germany. Agora is assigned to manage Worldmeetings’ Turkish and Northern Cyprus portfolio of hotels and meeting venues and to take care of its clients’ needs for purchasing, delivering proposals, bookings and financial services.
