Executive Director of Berjaya Land Berhad and Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism discusses the company’s Seychelles investments

(Forimmediaterelease.net) Mr. Leong Wy Joon, the new Executive Director of Berjaya Land Berhad (a public listed company in Malaysia), and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism&Culture, met for a discussion about Berjaya’s investments in Seychelles. The meeting, which took place at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Beach Hotel&Casino, was also assisted by Mr. Ken Choo, the Resort’s General Manager, and by Ms. Johnette Labiche, the company’s Director of Sales.Today, Berjaya Land Berhad owns 100 Percent of Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort&Casino – Seychelles. Mr. Leong Wy Joon, who is an accountant by profession, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having previously worked with major hotel and timeshare groups. His core expertise includes hotel and branded residences development, financial management, operations and asset management, and he has close working relationships with most global hospitality brands.
Currently, Mr. Wy Joon heads the group's hotels and resorts division and is responsible for the group's hotel operations and profitability. He also spearheads the implementation of the group's global hotel and branded residences development and asset management strategies.
At the meeting with Minister St.Ange, the different challenges of the Berjaya Seychelles operations was discussed, and Mr. Leong Wy Joon confirmed his support for the continued development and improvements plans of their Beau Vallon property in Seychelles. This was Mr. Wy Joon’s first visit to Seychelles since his appointment, and he assured the resort’s General Manager, Mr. Ken Choo, of his total backing to move the consolidation program of their Seychelles Resort.
Speaking after the meeting at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort&Casino, Minister St.Ange said that he was satisfied with his meeting with the Executive Director of Berjaya Land Berhad. “I believe we understood each other, and I also believe that he is committed to support the efforts of Ken Choo, their man of the ground,” the Minister said.
