Michele Miglionico to make Miss Seychelles experience a “Roma Holiday” ( The renowned Italian designer, Michele Miglionico, has announced that he will be sponsoring Sheryl Furneau, the newly-elected “Miss Seychelles… another world” beauty queen, a photo-shooting session in Rome as part of her grooming for Miss World to be held in China in August. The announcement was made by Michele Miglionico to Alain St.Ange, the Minister for Tourism and Culture at the Tourism Board’s Offices at Bel Ombre in the presence of Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

Michele Miglionico, a prominent sponsor of the “Miss Seychelles…. another world” beauty pageant held on May 26, has proposed to host the Miss Seychelles “Roma Holiday” photo shooting during the Italian Fashion week.

“I am convinced that I will be doing a good work with Sheryl Furneau. She has the charisma, she is soft-tempered, and willing to learn. She does not have the aggressive character that is commonly portrayed among top models. She is a vibrant element. I can positively contribute to her career enhancement on the international scene,” he said.

Michele Miglionico has also commended the panel of judges’ choices of selecting Sheryl Furneau as Miss Seychelles 2012.

“The panel of judges has deliberated on the right candidate to reign as Miss Seychelles. She is the ideal candidate to be an ambassador of Seychelles islands and to represent her country in Miss World. On the night of the pageant, Sheryl portrayed the quality needed to be crowned ‘Miss Seychelles… another world.’ She is the rightful candidate,” he added.

The Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, thanked Michele Miglionico for being affiliated with the “Miss Seychelles… another world” pageant and for the promotion of Miss Seychelles on the international scene.

“The Seychelles Tourism Board appreciates Michele Miglionico’s invaluable contribution in propelling Sheryl Furneau into her new role as Miss Seychelles. As an important partner of Miss Seychelles, this will bring additional value to this pageant,” Minister St.Ange said.

Michele Miglionico said that he will now have to work on the Miss Seychelles schedule before deciding on the appropriate date to make Miss Seychelles experience the beauty of Rome and provide exposure to the Italian media.

The Tourism Board, on its part, hase reaffirmed that it will ensure that Sheryl Furneau, in her capacity as “Miss Seychelles…another world” 2012 is the face of the islands and that she will be invited to be part of the Tourism Board’s activities in the promotion of Seychelles.
