UNWTO and the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) join forces to advance the development of sustainable tourism in Silk Road countries
Over the past seven weeks, EHL students have been attending lectures on contemporary strategic theory and researching decisions made by countries, destinations, and corporations in the hospitality industry as part of their final course, Strategic Management. With the support of tourism experts, these students will now apply this knowledge to develop outlines of 5 to 10-year strategic plans on how selected countries can position themselves along the Silk Road.
At the Think Tank, student representatives will present their strategic plans to an open audience, consisting of Ministry representatives, leading private sector players, EHL staff, and UNWTO officials who will judge the final strategies and student presentations.
Media and journalists are encouraged to attend this Think Tank. Full information is available at: http://silkroad.unwto.org/en/node/36594 .
