Test drive your next speaker at AIME

(Forimmediaterelease.net) You wouldn’t buy a new car without a test drive, so why would you engage a speaker without hearing and seeing them in action first?

Reed Travel Exhibitions has teamed up with ICMI Speakers&Entertainers to let you experience the excitement and motivation of four leading Australian-based speakers at AIME 2008.

The AIME ICMI Speaker Showcase will be held from 8am to 11am on the first morning of AIME, Tuesday 19 February.

Michael Sherlock - The Brumby’s story from cult to retail franchise leader

Driving a company’s share price from 56c to $3.40 in just over 3 years is a long way from being a yoga cult in the 1970s. But that’s the journey undertaken by Michael Sherlock as he transformed leading Australia and New Zealand bakery franchise into an Australian business success story. In July 2007 Brumby’s was purchased by the ASX listed company, RFG for $46M.

Michael has appeared on current affair, news and breakfast television programs in Australia and New Zealand on issues such as his innovative management techniques and business strategy.

Along with his distinctive humour and references to his inspiration in rock and roll, you’ll gain real insight that you can apply to your own businesses.

Stephen Tighe - The importance of applying foresight in today’s changing times

The rate of consumer change is more rapid today than ever before. So why do most businesses look to the past in order to make decisions about the future?

The complexity of today’s society has ensured that the traditional measures of market segmentation are becoming less relevant. More than at any time in Australia’s history, companies and marketers need to acquire a deeper understanding of their customer’s values and mindset. What are the underlying values of Australians? How and why are they changing? And what does this mean for your organisation?

Stephen is Foresight Manager at one of Australia’s leading consumer goods companies. He has focused on the evolving mindsets of Australians and the future implications of these changes.
