Visibility of Seychelles remains in the hands of the world press, Minister of Tourism says in China to Xinhua News Agency

Visibility of Seychelles remains in the hands of the world press, Minister of Tourism says in China to Xinhua News Agency (Forimmediaterelease.net) Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism&Culture, has told the Chinese press that visibility of the Seychelles remains in the hands of the world press. Minister St.Ange was answering questions to Xinhua, China’s most important official news agency.

“Seychelles is but a small country, and we have nothing to hide. This is why our mid-ocean islands remain comfortable in inviting the world’s press community to visit Seychelles and to write about their own impressions. We know that after visiting our islands you will become a Seychelles Ambassador and will help us increase visibility of our islands in China,” Minister Alain St.Ange said to the reporter from Xinhua News Agency in the presence of Philippe Le Gall, the Seychelles Ambassador.

The Seychelles Minister gave interviews to a series of Chinese press at the end of his working visit to China. Lu Nan from the China Internet Information Center, Xinsheng Wang of the Travel Weekly China, and Amy Wei from Global Times, all made time to interview Minister St.Ange as had been done a day earlier by the popular Chinese FM Radio - 87.6 Beijing Joy - only a day earlier.

Minister Alain St.Ange took time to highlight the USPs of the Seychelles, pointing out the diversity of the islands with both granitic islands with high mountains and the flat coral islands. He also spoke about the diversity of the population, which brings out the special Seychelles creole cuisine and a rich culture. The islands’ Minister went on to claim that Seychelles remained the island nation offering unrivaled swimming in warm clear and clean turquoise blue seas that laps the clean white sandy beaches 365 days of the year, as Seychelles is known as the tourism destination that has perpetual summer.

“Our eco-friendly islands now have 50 percent of our total land area protected as national parks. Our government remains good custodians of the unique assets under our care, and we remain serious in protecting these natural assets we has that continue to attract visitors to our shores,” Minister Alain St.Ange said.

Seychelles is the tourism destination that believes in working with the press. They launched a “Friends of Seychelles – Press” club over a year ago in their bid to continuously keep the world press well informed about the happenings in the tropical mid-ocean islands of the Indian Ocean.
