The Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Carnival 2012 makes international press

The Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Carnival 2012 makes international press (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Quarterly Magazine of Singapore, known as a highly-prestigious and very popular magazine, has just come out with a feature on the Indian Ocean Vanilla Island’s 2012 Seychelles Carnival, which is co-hosted by Seychelles and La Reunion Islands. The carnival is set for March 2-4, 2012.

The feature story retraces the 2011 edition of this unique popular event that attracts press from the world over and where the world’s known and the best carnivals of the world send delegations to parade side by side, followed by cultural groups from the Community of Nations.

The Feature in The Quarterly Magazine of Singapore is entitled, “Call for a big Celebration – Seychelles sets Stage for a 2nd Carnaval International de Victoria.” The feature speaks loudly about the successes of the Vanilla Islands carnival that is staged in the Seychelles. “The biggest event of 2012 calendar will no doubt be the Carnaval International de Victoria,” the article says.

“A succession of live, both local and international, will set the stage for a music carnival. This will be an unforgettable opportunity for the public to interact with the float participants and immerse in the carnival’s atmosphere,” the story continued.

To make this happen, the carnival organizing committee of the Seychelles Tourism Board is working around the clock to elevate this event to greater heights. The line of promotions for this “carnival of carnivals” has started in earnest and colorful posters adorn many office windows, both locally and overseas. The carnival brochures have already been distributed, and participants are starting to register their participation.

In the coming months, the world will hear a lot about the Seychelles’ carnival. The Seychelles Tourism Board started their promotion campaign at all trade fairs and events across the world. Alain St. Ange, Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board, is confident that the organizing committee is set to have another great event where the world will descend on Seychelles to participate in an event now known as the “carnival of carnivals” and staged as the melting pot of cultures.

The foreign participation for 2012’s event is expected to exceed expectations, with delegations arriving from as far as Indonesia, Hawaii, UK, France, Italy, Brazil, and many African delegations. The Indian Ocean Islands of Reunion, Mauritius, and Madagascar are also expected to manifest in the melting pot of peoples from the four corners of the world. Seychelles is facilitating the registration process for countries and groups by increasing the registration points.
