“Sea Life Seychelles” is a new magazine promoted as the guide to sea-based activities in Seychelles ( Arnold Chetty is the Editor of the new “Sea Life Seychelles” magazine promoted by Ace Media in Seychelles. In his editorial of the first issue of the magazine, Mr. Chetty said: “The primary purpose of the magazine is to educate Seychellois and visitors alike on the rich marine resources of the Seychelles and the life-giving characteristics of the vast seas that surround the Seychelles … Visitors to these islands are overwhelmed by the richness of the Indian Ocean and the wide range of recreational activities it provides. Regardless of age, there is something for everyone to engage in. From snorkeling to deep sea diving, boat tours or sailing, or better still, deep sea fishing, there are organized activities for all your sea-based leisure cravings,” the Editor of Sea Life Seychelles said.

Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, published a message in this inaugural commemorative issue of Sea Life Seychelles magazine:

“It is always a joy each time a new local publication hits the newsstand. And when a publication such as SeaLife is launched, and is all about the Seychelles islands’ greatest asset, our marine environment, this is even more significant. At a time when the Seychelles Tourism Board is doubling its efforts to give added value to the Seychelles brand of tourism, both here and overseas, publications of this nature truly complement our task. Our marketing efforts to bring visitors to our shores is half our done job. When visitors hit our shores, we need to ensure that their customer experience is great and that they are well versed on all local offerings so that they can sample what Seychelles is about.”

The inaugural issue of Sea Life Seychelles also includes an article by Marc Houareau, one of the best-known fishing enthusiasts. His article, entitled “Sport Fishing in Seychelles,” covers with passion the sport of fishing in Seychelles. “One does not have to venture far from the shores to break fishing records in the Seychelles archipelago,” said Mr. Houareau. And he goes on to reaffirm that Seychelles has some of the richest fishing grounds in the world.

Other articles in this first issue of the magazine covers the Seychelles Festival of the Sea, Reports of Big Game Fishing Tournaments, an excursion and a live aboard “The Great Escape” of Mr. Sindu Parekh, and more.
