ASTA to be Featured in The Wall Street Journal Special Section ( Alexandria, Va., Sept. 6, 2007 – On Sept. 8, The Wall Street Journal, working in conjunction with Partner Concepts, will distribute its special advertising section on travel. “Great Escapes” will consist of 24 pages, highlighting the many reasons to travel in the fall. The special section will focus on destinations such as the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and Africa. In this edition, The Wall Street Journal will feature a letter from ASTA president and CEO, Cheryl Hudak, and an article promoting the use of travel agents.

The travel section will entice readers to plan their fall vacations to its featured destinations by emphasizing the perks of traveling “off season.” Fall travel offers vacationers relief from the extreme temperatures, long lines and busy resorts. Aside from learning about the more relaxed pace of fall travel, vacationers will learn about the discounts and specials many agents, resorts and destinations offer.

“The Wall Street Journal’s special travel section will remind readers that traveling to such exquisite destinations is even more enjoyable when they solicit assistance from an experienced ASTA travel agent,” said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. “It’s going to be very hard for tourists to decide where to go next after reading Great Escapes.”
