Seychelles to exhibit at the ABAV Expo 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in South America

Seychelles to exhibit at the ABAV Expo 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in South America (Forimmediaterelease.net) David Germain, the Seychelles Tourism Board Director for Africa, UAE, and The Americas will soon be leading a delegation from Seychelles tourism to exhibit and participate at the ABAV Exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in South America. This event is taking place from October 19-21, 2011.

Ms. Agatha Antignani, Sales Manager of Masons Travel, and Mr. Kenneth Jeannevol, Assistant Operations Manager of 7% South, will both be joining Mr. Germain to represent Seychelles at this important tourism exhibition taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in South America during the month of October.

ABAV Feira das Américas is the major event of the Latin American travel and tourism industry and the Brazilian Association of Travel Agents has organized the ABAV event for over 30 years, including the Brazilian Travel Agencies Congress. The event stands as the largest annual travel trade fair of its kind in North and South America.

This initiative is part of Seychelles Tourism Board’s focus and action plan for an increased market share from the Americas for Seychelles in the future, working with our partners as much as possible to offer South American travelers different holiday package options to visit Seychelles such as “Dubai/Seychelles” and “Africa/Seychelles” holiday package combinations.

David Germain was in Dubai last week and had meetings with Arabian Adventures, Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airlines, discussing joint marketing initiatives for the American Market.

Last year, the Seychelles Tourism Board engaged the Argentinian market with a series of joint marketing activities in Argentina with Cape Town Routes Unlimited and Mpumalanga Tourism as partners; Seychelles, Cape Town, and Mpumalanga have signed an MOU that spell out such strategies of working together to open new potential market for South Africa and the Seychelles in what is termed a win-win for both spectacular tourism destinations in their own rights.

Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways, and South African Airways are all flying direct to Brazil and Argentina from Dubai, Doha, and Johannesburg, respectively, with good connections to Seychelles.
