Seychelles tourism CEO calls on Ludwig Rembold at Suddeutsche Zeitung to say thank you

Seychelles tourism CEO calls on Ludwig Rembold at Suddeutsche Zeitung to say thank you (Forimmediaterelease.net) Alain St. Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, used the opportunity of his stop in Munich, Germany, to call on Ludwig Rembold at the Suddeutsche Zeitung to say thank you for the recent glowing report in the magazine's Golf Book.

The Suddeutsche Zeitung is one of the most read and respected magazines of Germany, and the respect for the Seychelles by the Editor of their Golf Book (Golf Spielen) is a plus. Mr. Rembold, who personally visited the Seychelles, has made it clear in his report entitled, “An Island to love," that he enjoyed the Seychelles and that he is complimentary of the Lemuria Golf Course of Praslin. The islands' luxurient vegetation, the beauty of the islands, and the exceptional cuisine are all unique assets hightlighted by Mr. Rembold as are the beautiful beaches of the Seychelles. Mr. Ludwig Rembold remains a very respected and well-known German press personality, and the meeting in his Munich office was an opportunity to also discuss future possibilities for Seychelles with Suddeutsche Zeitung.

Alain St. Ange was accompanied at the Suddeutsche Zeitung by Edith Hunzinger, the Seychelles Tourism Board's manager based in Germany, and by Sharen Venus and Christine Vel, the Board's Senior Marketing Executive and Marketing Executive, respectively. The Seychelles delegation had been in Germany on a “door-to-door" mission of tour operators selling the Seychelles and on airlines flying to Seychelles from Germany. On their five-day tour of Germany that took them to Frankfurt, Oberursel, Hannover, Munich, and Hersching, the delegation also met with the German press.

Alain St. Ange said at the end of his delegation's mission in Germany that he was encouraged by the turn-around taking place in the German market for Seychelles. Today's figures are showing a 6% plus over the 2010 visitor arrival numbers from Germany, but what is more encouraging is the increase in already confirmed bookings for Seychelles by all the major German tour operators. “We did this 'door-to-door' exercise, as we believe in personalizing our approach. We have been on the phone often, and we have met our German partners at ITB, but meeting and giving them all quality time at their own offices showed our respect for them and our desire to continue working with them," said Alain St. Ange.

The Seychelles delegation has discussed with each German partner possible joint actions and cooperation for the rest of this current year.
