Centara promotes Michel Serrano to General Manager of Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok ( Gerd Steeb, President of Centara Hotels&Resorts, has announced the promotion of Michel Serrano from Hotel Manager to General Manager of Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok with immediate effect.

Mr. Serrano is a French national. A graduate of the ENMM of Marseille and St. Bernard College, he has over 30 years’ experience in leading hotels in many countries. A significant part of his career has been with the Accor Group, holding various positions from Executive Assistant Manager in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to General Manager positions in Thailand, Australia, Portugal, and France, as well as director of operations in Mexico. He has also worked with Hyatt and Sheraton in Mexico. Prior to joining Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Mr. Serrano was General Manager of Concorde La Fayette Hotel and Director of Operations of Concorde Hotels&Resorts in Paris, followed by two years as Managing Director of SideWays Enterprise Co. Ltd. of Bangkok.

“Michel Serrano is succeeding Martin Reed, who is retiring after 16 years of devoted service to Centara, and who is one of the best-known and respected hoteliers in Thailand,” said Mr. Steeb. “With Michel’s strong background and experience in the industry, we are confident Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok will continue as an extremely successful hotel under his management.”
