Seychelles youth talents will continue to flourish

Seychelles youth talents will continue to flourish ( The Seychelles President James Michel has said that the Sesel i Annan Talan (Seychelles has Talent) contest has taken a popular national dimension and that he will continue to put emphasis on the development of the talents of young people around the country.

“Our youth appreciates the opportunities it has. I can see their enthusiasm to express their hidden talents. Seychelles is making history all the time, and the Jj Spirit Foundation is also making history by showcasing the explosion of talents that makes us all very proud…. I will work to make the youth flourish, that is my commitment,” said President Michel, who is also the patron of the Jj Spirit Foundation.

The President was speaking at a ceremony held yesterday at State House to thank the finalists of the Sesel i Annan Talan for their participation in the annual music show organized by the Jj Spirit Foundation.

“I urge you to learn and explore your capacity to create your own songs and your own music. In this way, you will be singing not only other people’s songs but your own authentic Creole songs. You can create clubs in your districts to learn how to do this, and the Jj Spirit Foundation will help you,” said the President to the finalists.

The Sesel i Annan Talan contest was divided into four categories: 12-16 years olds, duo and more, 17-35 years old, and professional.

The President announced that the Jj Spirit Foundation will have its own building in Victoria in the future.
