Arabian Travel News guides on how to sell the Indian Ocean and Seychelles

Arabian Travel News guides on how to sell the Indian Ocean and Seychelles (Forimmediaterelease.net) At this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Travel Trade fair in Dubai, the Arabian Travel News came out with their own guide on how to sell the Indian Ocean Islands and the Seychelles.

Emily McCarrick writes that the new flights today link the region to the Middle East and that the Seychelles is listed as one of the most beautiful holiday spots. On and about the Seychelles specifically, the Arabian Travel News article states that:- “For 2011, Seychelles is the destination that has really been grabbing the limelight when it comes to the Middle East market, thanks to increasing flight links being added by Emirates. Emirates has already upped the number of flights from 7 to 12, and by the end of the year, has announced it will have a double-daily service operating to Seychelles. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has also announced plans to increase flights to Seychelles later in the year.”

In this issue of the Arabian Travel News, a report on a visit to the Seychelles by a group of 12 GCC travel agents is also published under the heading, “The ‘Secret’ Seychelles.”

The reports states that the group of travel agents came from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar and that they were jointly hosted for this trip by Emirates and the Seychelles Tourism Board. The group stayed at the Lemuria&Ephelia Resorts of Constance Hotels, Labriz Seychelles, and the Sainte Anne Resort of Beachcomber.

The report on the Seychelles carries interesting quotes made by the industry professionals who had traveled to the Seychelles. A Doha agent wrote: “This calm, quiet island is a paradise for tourists, especially for honeymooning couples and small families who like to spend their time mingling with nature. The exotic beaches and climate are the gift of God. The fish dishes are too tasty, and we experienced the taste of octopus salad for the first time.”

Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, said when he was presented with a copy of the Arabian Travel news that it was a timely issue for Seychelles. “We are just back from the ATM Travel Trade fair in Dubai where we maximized our visibility through press interviews, which included a live radio program and eight television interviews (one of them on MBC1 being a live broadcast at prime time). The Arabian Travel News magazine will help reinforce our message which makes clear that Seychelles remains the ideal and safe tourism destination for the Middle East travelers as we are but four-and-a-half hours away from Dubai and Doha,” said Alain St.Ange.
