Seychelles Festival Kreol organization will be part of this week's carnival

Seychelles Festival Kreol organization will be part of this week's carnival (Forimmediaterelease.net) Seychelles organizers of the “Festival Kreol" have confirmed that they will have their own float in this week's carnival that seems now set to overtake Victoria, the capital of Seychelles. The Creole Tropical Islands of the Seychelles have been holding their “Festival Kreol" for the last 25 years, and they have comfortably been able to get the world to nominate the city of Victoria as the “Creole Capital of the World." The “Festival Kreol" is held in the Seychelles every October and is centered on the promotion of Creole - both the language and its people.

“The difference between the two carnival events are very distinct," said Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board. “The Seychelles 'Carnival International de Victoria' is an event where the community of nations are invited to Victoria to showcase their own culture, diversity, and showcase what they stand for as a people. The Seychelles March Carnival is the melting pot of cultures, and the venue for the world to descend to get to know other nations who feel part of the community of nations. But our island's 'Festival Kreol' is the gathering of everyone who believes in the Creole culture and in the Creole identity with the focus remaining on 'Creoles.' It is the only event where the many islands and countries of the world who have a Creole culture or who speak Creole, to assemble with the world invited to live that experience of so many from different parts of the world united in that 'World of the Creoles,'" Alain St.Ange concluded.

The Seychelles Tourism Board has, on its part, confirmed that the organization of the “Festival Kreol," with its popular seranade, will be the second float in the carnival procession on Saturday, March 5.
