Air Seychelles staff holds carnival float parade rehearsal

Air Seychelles staff holds carnival float parade rehearsal (Forimmediaterelease.net) On Saturday morning, cars driving to Victoria from the south of Mahe, the main island of Seychelles, stopped when they got in front of the Air Seychelles Headquarters wondering what was happening because of the large number of staff members of the airline who were dressed in carnival attire parading in the Air Cargo Terminal's Main Carpark.

Air Seychelles had put on a rehearsal by its 70 odd staff who will be part of the airline's float during the coming Seychelles carnival which is set to be officially opened next Friday afternoon in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles. Glenn Pillay, the Airline's Manager for Public Relations, was personally at the airport coordinating the rehearsal when Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, when his Deputy, Elsia Grandcourt, arrived at the Air Seychelles Headquarters for a sneak preview of the Air Seychelles preparations for their carnival float.

“It is a such a joy to see everything falling in place for our coming carnival. This morning we are seeing Air Seychelles putting final touches to their float display. This afternoon, on La Digue Island, the Diguois are doing exactly the same thing along the main road of the island. It is now clear that Seychelles is ready for its mother of all events," Alain St.Ange said when he left the Air Seychelles Headquarters.

Air Seychelles has also now confirmed that it will be distributing, along the float parade route, past copies of Silhouette, their inflight magazine. This document remains a very informative magazine with many articles written by known personalities on Seychelles' environment, nature, and diversity of islands. “Silhouette is a great support document for school projects as it is a great souvenir for our visitors," Alain St.Ange said.
