High Commissioner of Lesotho discusses big picture of tourism in Africa with Seychelles

High Commissioner of Lesotho discusses big picture of tourism in Africa with Seychelles ( The first high commissioner of Lesotho to Seychelles, HE Mrs. Matlotliso Lineo Lydia Ntoane, this week met the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Alain St. Ange, to discuss cooperation in tourism.

Mrs. Ntoane and Mr. St. Ange agreed there is potential to develop tourism links between the two countries where both will benefit.

The Seychelles Tourism Board has for the past two years been promoting the concept of twin-holidays with different countries in Africa, and the proposal was also put forward to Lesotho.

Through such a concept, visitors are encouraged to have a safari holiday in any of the African countries and then proceed to a beach holiday in Seychelles.

Such a partnership is already being implemented with Kenya and South Africa.

The Seychelles’ carnival was also a topic of discussion where Mr. St. Ange invited Lesotho to be part of the African delegations taking part in the event.

“The strength of Africa is the diversity that exists between all the African countries, and the sooner we all agree to work with each other, the better and stronger we shall all be,” Alain St. Ange said.
