Seychelles Tourism Board says that the visit of Princess Anne was welcomed by the tourism trade (Forimmediaterelease.net) The November visit to the Seychelles by the Princess Royal, Princess Anne and her husband the Vice Admiral Laurence was well received by Seychelles as a whole. “Members of the tourism trade welcomed the arrival of the Princess Royal and they felt honoured that she had spent the whole of her Seychelles stay at a resort that formed part of the Seychelles Hospitality&Tourism Association (SHTA)" Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board said.

Frederic Vidal, the General Manager of the MAIA Resort, who was the host resort for the Princess Royal and her delegation said that Seychelles was now receiving many stars and sports personalities, and the arrival of the Princess Royal, Princess Anne was the perfect addition to the VVIP list making Seychelles their holiday destination. The Seychelles tourism trade have the unwritten agreement to respect the privacy of their important visitors, and everything possible is done these days to ensure that the Seychelles holiday of the VVIPs remains private and out of reach of prying eyes.

The Seychelles prides itself by promoting themselves as having a style of tourism they call 'personalised tourism' and everyone who visit the creole tropical islands realise that the personal welcome of the Seychelles is one of the unique attributes still so evident in Seychelles. “We are one of the tourism destinations not after mass tourism, but we are out to ensure we manage our islands as serious custodians to ensure that future generations can appreciate the Seychelles you see today" Alain St.Ange said to the Press after the departure of the Royal visitor.

The diversity of the Seychelles enable the islands to plan itineraries for stays that is out of this world. The Princess Royal, Princess Anne managed to visit the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Seychelles (Vallee de Mai on Praslin and Aldabra). Princess Anne also managed a short stop at the Botanical Gardens and see for herself the Coco de Mer tree planted by her father, the Duke of Edinburgh on a Seychelles visit in 1952.
Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh Officially visited the Seychelles in 1972 when Her Majesty opened the Seychelles International Airport. This latest 2010 visit by a member of the Royal family saw the Princess Royal, Princess Anne join the Seychelles President James Michel to Officially open the University of Seychelles.
